Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary The Junior Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial and cost management aspects of civil construction projects. The role involves assisting in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, billing, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates

  • Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications

  • Support in project budgeting and cost control

  • Assist in preparing interim bills and final accounts

  • Verify contractor bills and subcontractor invoices

  • Maintain records of project costs, variations, and claims

  • Assist in tender preparation and analysis

  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants

  • Monitor material usage and cost variations

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and contracts

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field

  2. 2-4 years of experience in construction or quantity surveying

  3. Basic knowledge of BOQ preparation and rate analysis

  4. Familiarity with drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus)

  5. Strong numerical and analytical skills

  6. Good communication and coordination abilities

  7. Proficiency in MS Excel and basic software tools
