JUNIOR REPORTER Motivate Media Group

We re looking for a Junior Reporter who s passionate about lifestyle and entertainment, and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a hunger for uncovering great stories, and a love for creating content across platforms print, digital, and social.

You ll be part of a dynamic editorial team, contributing to both online and print features, supporting editors in content creation, and representing What s On at events across the UAE.

Responsibilities:

• Write and research lifestyle and entertainment content for both print and digital platforms.
• Attend and cover events, launches, and press briefings on behalf of What s On.
• Pitch fresh ideas and assist the editor with developing feature content.
• Collaborate with video producers and editors to storyboard and script short-form video content.
• Create engaging social media content that complements editorial features.
• Ensure all copy adheres to What s On s tone and style guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor s degree in journalism, Communications, English or a related field.
• 1 2 years of relevant experience in editorial or content creation (internships included).
• Strong writing and research skills, with an adaptable tone.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic photo editing tools is a plus.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• A keen interest in the UAE and Saudi lifestyle, entertainment, and dining scenes.
