Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior US Tax Accountant with 3+ years of experience in US taxation to join a dynamic remote finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong knowledge of US tax laws, tax preparation, and compliance processes who are looking to grow their careers in a high-performance, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review US federal and state tax returns (individuals, partnerships, and corporations).
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and US tax laws.
  • Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet filing deadlines and client requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software and tax preparation tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Drake, ProSeries, or similar).
  • Communicate with clients to gather required financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • 3+ years of experience in US tax accounting or public accounting firms.
  • Strong knowledge of US tax law, IRS regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Experience preparing Form 1040, 1065, and 1120/1120S.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and tax tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote accounting job environment.
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA (preferred but not required).
