Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Amalgamate traditional on-set production methodologies with the virtual world
- Supervision of Grip Crew
- Camera Support - Cranes/Jibs/Dolly Tracks
- Setting Up Camera Rigs and Calibrating Their Digital Twins
- Setting Up Video Village for Production and Virtual Production
- Lighting Support (Non-electrical) - Flags, Scrims
- Controlling Natural Light within an LED Volume
- Syncing various Light Fixtures, such as Sky Panels, to Virtual Environments
- Setting up Lighting Grids with DMX Capabilities Inside Unreal
- Safety and Rigging
- Familiarity with a variety of truss setups and their safety requirements
- Ability to Rig various Cranes, Sliders, Handheld Units with Motion Tracking Sensors
- Integrated Motion Systems
- Familiarity with DCS (Digital Camera Systems) and Lens Metadata Encoding
- Familiarity with a Variety of Motion Tracking Systems, from Optical Tracking Solutions (Vicon, Mosys) to Markerless Feature-based Technologies (Ocellus)
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine's Livelink Framework
- Familiarity with LED wall assembly
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience needed:
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols in hydraulic and electric computer-controlled motion systems.
- Experience performing maintenance checks and/or maintaining for hydraulic and/or electric equipment.
- Experience as a remote camera crane operator, for example, a Technodolly
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and provide feedback on system performance.
- On-set experience with film productions
Nice to have:
- Familiarity and experience using Unreal Engine.
- Understanding of pre-visualization and shot design and ability to translate that experience into Unreal environment.
- Experience with operations of a vehicle motion platforms
