Roles & Responsibilities

Egypt Education Platform is thrilled to announce an opening for a strong>KS1 Homeroom Teacher/strong> for the academic year 2024 at our esteemed school, strong>GEMS British International School in Madinaty/strong>.

We are looking for a motivated educator who is passionate about fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for our Key Stage 1 students, instilling a love for learning and providing a strong foundation for their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the national curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Assess, monitor, and document student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual student growth.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and social interaction.
  • Encourage parental involvement in their child s education through effective communication and regular updates on progress.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop integrated curriculum plans that enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay informed about best practices in education.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Education or related field.
  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience within a KS1 setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
  • Enthusiastic and creative approach to teaching and learning.
