Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking to hire a support engineer for one of our clients in Oman, specializing in cybersecurity products and services.
Monitor Cisco UCS, HP servers, SAN switches, storage systems, and network infrastructure for optimal performance.
Perform daily health checks of servers, storage, and network components.
Configure SNMP, manage alarm levels, and integrate with fault management systems for ongoing monitoring.
Ensure that all security patches and software updates are applied in a timely manner, in compliance with the customer s internal security policies.
Execute basic troubleshooting steps for any incidents, log errors, and maintain uptime for critical systems.
Receive and respond to L1 incidents and service requests, resolving or escalating, as necessary.
Document and update all incidents in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system according to SLA requirements.
Support initial troubleshooting of network connectivity issues, hardware alerts, storage performance, and data backup operations.
Monitor and support HP 3PAR, EMC VMAX, EMC Data Domain, and EMC Unity storage environments.
Assist in the execution of data backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Identify and escalate any storage capacity, configuration, or hardware-related issues.
Prepare regular performance and SLA reports on system uptime, ticket resolution, and compliance with SLA targets.
Maintain accurate records of system configurations, incident reports, troubleshooting steps, and maintenance activities and O&M Documentation.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on system health, incident statistics, and operational metrics for review by senior engineers and management.
Coordinate with L2/L3 engineers for advanced troubleshooting and guidance on complex technical issues.
