Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage and supervise all laboratory operations related to lubricants, base oils, and grease testing.
- Ensure all quality control tests are conducted as per ASTM, IP, and ISO standards.
- Maintain and implement ISO Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ensure laboratory compliance with ISO requirements.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external ISO audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory testing and quality assurance.
- Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished lubricant and grease products.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Manage laboratory staff including training, performance monitoring, and work allocation.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with production, R&D, and quality teams to resolve product quality issues.
- Monitor laboratory consumables and maintain inventory of testing materials.
- Oversee formulation development and precise dosage preparation for lubricants and grease products.

- Support ISO audits and help maintain compliance with quality management systems.

- Maintain, calibrate, and validate laboratory instruments.
- Prepare SOPs, reports, and documentation.
- Supervise and train laboratory staff under Lab Manager guidance.
- Coordinate with production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
strong>Preferred Candidate's Profile/strong> ;/p>
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 to 20 years of experience in a lubricant or grease manufacturing laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of lubricant and grease testing methods and quality standards.
- Mandatory experience in ISO audits and quality management systems (ISO 9001 / ISO 17025 preferred).
- Experience in ASTM and IP testing standards.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
strong>Preferred Candidate's Profile:-/strong>
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- 815 years of laboratory experience in lubricants, grease, or similar industry.
- Knowledge of ASTM/IP testing methods.
- ISO audit experience preferred.
- Strong documentation, teamwork, and organizational skills.
