Prepare laboratory equipment, tools, and materials for practical classes and demonstrations.

Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.

Responsible for reviewing and monitor the health and safety hazards of all CoHS program laboratories

Assist faculty members during laboratory sessions, simulations, and student projects.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of chemicals, safety kits, and instruments.

Support faculty in planning and delivery of laboratory-based learning activities.

Assist in conducting experiments related to ergonomics, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, and safety management.

Support data collection, documentation, and preparation of laboratory reports.

Help in setting up simulation-based training activities and demonstrations.

Assist in student research projects and final-year practical work.

Support all the duties associated with the examinations

Install, calibrate, and maintain OHS monitoring equipment (e.g., gas detectors, noise meters, heat stress monitors).

Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments.

Maintain equipment usage logs and maintenance records.

Report faults and coordinate repair or replacement with vendors.

Implement laboratory safety procedures and emergency preparedness protocols.

Ensure availability and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Conduct safety briefings for students before laboratory activities.

Monitor compliance with occupational safety regulations and institutional policies.

Maintain inventory of laboratory consumables and equipment.

Prepare purchase requests and coordinate procurement processes.

Keep updated records of laboratory assets, chemicals, and safety materials.
