Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Perform laboratory tests on: Concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, asphalt, and steel.
  • Conduct field tests when required (slump test, compaction, density, cube sampling).
  • Prepare, label, and store test samples correctly.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
  • Record test results accurately and prepare test reports.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Follow QA/QC procedures and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Laboratory Technology.
  • Training in laboratory safety and quality standards (ISO / ASTM / BS).
  • 1 3 years of experience in an engineering or construction materials lab.
  • Experience in construction projects or consultancy labs is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow testing procedures strictly.
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Teamwork and coordination with engineers and site staff.
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift samples and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, lab reporting software).
