Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Perform routine laboratory tests such as hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and serology as per physician orders.

  2. Collect, label, and process blood, urine, and other specimen samples following standard procedures.

  3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.

  4. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results in the laboratory system.

  5. Follow infection control and laboratory safety protocols at all times.

  6. Maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

  7. Ensure proper storage and disposal of laboratory samples and biohazard materials.

  8. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and inform management when stock is low.

  9. Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding test results and urgent investigations.

  10. Participate in shift duties as required for 24×7 clinic operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or equivalent.

  2. Valid MOH / OMSB Dataflow and Prometric clearance (or eligibility) is preferred for practice in Oman.

  3. Minimum 3–10 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting.

  4. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic tests.

  5. Ability to work in rotational shifts in a 24×7 clinic environment, including night duties

  6. Compliance with Oman Ministry of Health regulations and laboratory standards.
