Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assess, plan, and implement lactation care for antenatal and postnatal mothers.
Support breastfeeding initiation within the first hour of birth.
Manage complex breastfeeding issues (e.g., latching problems, low milk supply, mastitis).
Monitor infant feeding patterns, weight gain, and hydration status.
Provide individualized care plans for mothers and newborns.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educate mothers and families on breastfeeding techniques, benefits, and challenges.
Conduct antenatal and postnatal breastfeeding classes.
Provide counseling for high-risk cases (premature babies, NICU admissions).
Promote exclusive breastfeeding as per WHO/UNICEF guidelines
