Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Title:

  1. Land Surveyors (6 positions)
  2. Bar Bending Machine Operators (6 positions)
  3. Cutting Machine Operators (6 positions)

Job Duration: 3-6 Months
Working Hours: 10 hours per day, 6 days a week

1. Land Surveyors:

  • Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other land features.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and other documents to support construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and architects to ensure that all construction meets regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Perform geodetic and engineering surveys for the design and construction of structures.
  • Use specialized survey equipment like Total Stations, GPS, and Laser Scanners to collect data.
  • Ensure all survey data is accurate and timely delivered.
  • Assist in setting out construction sites and determining precise locations for building structures.

2. Bar Bending Machine Operators:

  • Operate and maintain bar bending machines to fabricate rebar as per project requirements.
  • Ensure that rebar is bent according to the specified dimensions and specifications outlined in construction drawings.
  • Monitor the machine’s operation to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Inspect the quality of the finished products to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Maintain and ensure regular servicing of the machinery to avoid downtime.
  • Work with construction site managers to ensure timely delivery and use of bent rebar.

3. Cutting Machine Operators:

  • Operate cutting machines to process materials (e.g., metal, wood, or concrete) for use in construction projects.
  • Set up cutting machinery and adjust settings based on project specifications.
  • Monitor the machine’s performance and adjust for precision cuts.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of the equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Inspect and measure materials post-cutting to confirm that they meet specifications.
  • Maintain safety standards while operating machinery and handling materials.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Land Surveyors:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in land surveying within the construction industry.
  • Skills:
    Strong knowledge of surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS, etc.) and software.
    Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical drawings.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    Good understanding of local regulations and surveying standards.
    Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineers and architects.
  • Attributes:
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures on construction sites.

2. Bar Bending Machine Operators:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in mechanical operations or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience operating bar bending machines in construction projects.
  • Skills:
    Proficiency in operating bar bending machinery and hand tools.
    Knowledge of rebar bending and cutting processes as per project specifications.
    Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and rebar schedules.
    Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain the equipment.
  • Attributes:
    Strong attention to detail and precision.
    Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    Good understanding of safety practices related to machinery and construction operations.

3. Cutting Machine Operators:

  • Education: High school diploma or technical certificate in machine operation or relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in operating cutting machines in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Skills:
    Expertise in operating cutting machines (metal, wood, concrete, etc.).
    Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work orders.
    Proficiency in machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
    Knowledge of material handling and safety procedures.
  • Attributes:
    Strong problem-solving skills to handle issues with machinery.
    Precision and attention to detail to meet cutting specifications.
    Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
