Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor with a strong background in finishing and fit-out works for buildings or high-rise towers. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate setting-out and verification of architectural and finishing works for a prestigious 7-star hotel project in Baghdad, Iraq. The candidate must be willing to be deployed to Iraq and work in a high-profile, fast-paced project environment.
Perform setting-out works for finishing and fit-out activities, including partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, façade elements, and architectural details.
Verify levels, elevations, dimensions, and alignments in accordance with approved IFC and shop drawings.
Coordinate closely with construction, finishing, and QA/QC teams to resolve any layout or dimensional issues.
Check and approve subcontractor layout works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Conduct as-built surveys and prepare survey reports and records.
Maintain and protect benchmarks, control points, and survey references.
Ensure surveying instruments are calibrated and maintained.
Adhere strictly to project quality, safety, and security procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of proven experience in finishing and fit-out works for buildings or high-rise towers.
Prior experience on hotel or luxury projects is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of architectural finishing tolerances and coordination requirements.
Proficient in using Total Station, Auto Level, and other modern surveying instruments.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
Good communication skills and ability to work under site conditions.
Must be willing and able to be deployed to Iraq (Baghdad).
