Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Surveyor is responsible for conducting precise land surveys, setting out project coordinates, and ensuring accurate measurements for landscape construction projects. The role requires expertise in topographical surveys, site-leveling, and verification of as-built conditions while ensuring compliance with project specifications and authority regulations.
Key Accountabilities:
Surveying & Site Coordination:
Conduct topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys for landscape construction projects.
Establish project benchmarks and set out coordinates as per approved drawings.
Verify and cross-check site levels, alignments, and excavation depths before execution.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority guidelines, and survey standards.
Identify discrepancies in drawings and provide technical input for necessary adjustments.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align survey data with site requirements.
Work closely with the design and drafting team to ensure updated survey data is incorporated into project drawings.
Liaise with authorities (RTA, DEWA, Municipality) to obtain approvals related to survey work.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, reports, and as-built documentation.
Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly survey progress reports.
Maintain logs for all survey-related activities, including benchmarks, setting-out points, and inspections.
Equipment & Quality Assurance:
Operate and maintain total stations, GPS, auto levels, and other surveying instruments.
Ensure the accuracy of survey data through proper calibration and verification of equipment.
Coordinate with third-party survey firms when required for verification and audits.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure survey work aligns with project requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field. ( Surveying certification would be an added advantage)
Minimum 3- 5 years of UAE experience as a Surveyor, preferably in landscaping or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other survey software.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, and other local authority requirements.
Must have a valid UAE driving license
