Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Operate conventional lathe machines to machine metal parts as per specifications
Perform turning, drilling, facing, threading, and knurling operations
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical blueprints
Repair and fabricate machine components such as shafts, bushings, rollers, and fittings
Support maintenance team in breakdown and preventive maintenance activities
Ensure proper alignment, measurements, and tolerances
Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in safe and clean condition
Follow all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines and company policies
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for urgent requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant trade
3–5 years of experience as a Lathe Machine Operator in manufacturing / FMCG / bottled water industry
Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and fabrication work
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.)
Basic understanding of maintenance activities and industrial equipment repair
Good awareness of safety practices and HSE standards in an industrial environment
Experience working in high-speed production plants is an advantage
Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial conditions
Flexible and willing to work in rotational shifts / any shift schedule
Immediate joiners will be given preference
