Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of linens and guest laundry items

  • Supervise, train, and motivate laundry staff to maintain consistent quality standards and adhere to hotel policies
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure timely processing of laundry items
  • Oversee inventory management of laundry supplies, detergents, and chemicals
  • Coordinate regular maintenance of laundry equipment and promptly address any malfunctions
  • Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with hotel policies and local regulations
  • Prepare and manage the laundry department budget, controlling operational costs and maximizing efficiency
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest expectations and resolve laundry-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including equipment usage, maintenance logs, and staff schedules
  • Conduct regular quality checks and participate in audits to ensure compliance with brand standards
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve laundry processes and reduce environmental impact
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development

Desired Candidate Profile

5+ years of experience in laundry management within a luxury hotel setting, with in-depth knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, chemicals, and textile care techniques

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities to manage staff and handle high-volume laundry operations efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and inventory management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in laundry operations
  • Strong cost management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
