About the Role Bytezera is a technology consulting firm specialising in cloud, data, automation, and digital transformation. We help enterprises scale their digital capabilities with modern engineering and expert talent. Bytezera is recruiting a Senior Azure Data Architect for our client for an on-site role in Abu Dhabi.
What You’ll Do • Design and implement end-to-end data architectures on Azure aligned with business and analytics needs. • Build and manage Medallion/Lakehouse frameworks using Azure Databricks and Microsoft Fabric. • Lead data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. • Define data modelling standards, metadata management, and governance best practices. • Architect scalable and secure data platforms using ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, Synapse, and Fabric Lakehouse. • Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver high-performing data solutions. • Drive performance tuning, cost optimisation, and security enforcement across cloud data environments. • Provide architectural guidance, review designs, and mentor data engineering teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
What You’ll Bring • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture. • Strong hands-on experience with ADF, Azure Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric. • Expertise in Medallion/Lakehouse patterns and distributed data processing. • Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and big data workflows. • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and metadata-driven architectures. • Good understanding of data modelling, governance, lineage, and CI/CD on Azure. • Strong communication, architectural decision-making, and technical leadership skills.
