Lead Electrical Engineer

Working as a core member of our design team, you will work on the design, development and implementation of electrical systems and components for our clients in the Oil and Gas sector.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or assist electrical engineering projects and deliver them to clients in accordance with agreed timelines and standards.
• Prepare documentation for concept, FEED or detailed design studies such as electrical schematics and layout drawings, technical reports, and more.
• Undertake electrical engineering studies to develop feasible and suitable solutions or concepts for projects.
• Perform sizing and specification studies of electrical equipment, such as motors, AHU s, lighting, power requirement auxiliaries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues.
• Liaise with mechanical and other discipline engineers to integrate electrical components.
• Select appropriate component and materials for electrical systems to suit specific project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, technical due diligence, equipment-related reviews and safety studies.
• Contribute to business development activity by assisting or leading in the preparation of bids and tenders.
• Generate and prospect new business leads by attending conferences, seminars, and meetings to market Longitude to prospective clients.
• Attend regular internal meetings and external/ third party meetings as required.
• Be responsible for the execution of project tasks and deliverables in accordance with quality and HSE standards.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and training to subordinates as required.
