Roles & Responsibilities

MAIN MISSIONS

  • To be the referent for the ICSS, instrumentation and telecom disciplines of the CPF-2
  • Manage the ICSS, Instrumentation and Telecom detailed engineering activities of the CPF-2 EPSCC contract, and ensure the compliance of the engineering with approved SOR and the Company standards.
  • Liaise with the Network and Wellpads Package(NWP) engineering team for the design and integration of ICSS and Telecom scope related to Network and Wellpads (NWP) Package.
  • Manage the Instrumentation and Telecom engineers by providing the necessary technical expertise, coordination of the discipline activities and coaching of them.
  • Liaise with Company headquarters (TEC) for assistance and deviation resolution as required.
  • Participate to the Procurement technical preparation and assist Procurement discipline during all the procurement phases
  • Attend the ICSS FAT and SAT, organize the necessary Company attendees (process, safety, operations) and ensure clear hand over dossier is provided to the site supervision team.
  • Provide technical advice and support to instrumentation field engineering or construction supervision.
  • Comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives
  • Participate to tender assessments, clarifications with bidder and other activities as related to the discipline.
  • Contribute to the Instrument &ICSS philosophy development at conceptual engineering phase.
  • Continuously be involved in identification and technical discussions on AGUP interfaces.
  • Be responsible for the quality review of FEED documentation in instrument discipline, but also other disciplines documents as applicable; verify that comments are returned without delay and with the required quality.
  • Review and propose response to letters, technical queries, deviation requests for project management approval. Lead the exchanges with HQ experts in case of project derogation requests in instrumentation discipline.
  • Ensure implementation of Pre-Project requirements frozen per SOR and key binding documents.
  • Expedite Contractors to issue deliverables with the right quality level and as per the approved MDRs. Assess on regular basis the progress of Contractors deliverable by reviewing the MDRS for his disciplines.
  • Coordinate HQ Project Review preparation and manage responses to as applicable to Instrumentation and ICSS discipline.
  • Review and comment vendor documents that have been assigned to his team and assist project engineers in technical problem solving at all stage of work. Attend to vendors meeting as required.
  • Cooperate with field operation representative / team.
  • Organize for his discipline weekly coordination meetings with the CONTRACTOR(s).
  • Report his team weekly activities performed and attend to coordination meetings.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • To ensure that all company requirements – as stated in the SOR, company technical safety specifications and requirements, and relevant international standards – are adhered to at all times during the project.
  • Lead the Instrument & ICSS team:
  • To oversee, review and where applicable approve documents related to contractor Instrument & ICSS engineering.
  • to participate in various Instrument & ICSS reviews
  • to participate to all Instrument & ICSS activities for PROJECT packages.
  • Support the PROJECT Package Manager and PROJECT Engineering Manager in delivering the PROJECT package with a focus on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement

Desired Candidate Profile

CANDIDATE PROFILE / QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 15 years as ICSS/Instrument engineer in Oil and Gas projects with significant experience in Instrument & ICSS management roles.
  • managing projects effectively at all life-cycle stages of project development (FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation, Construction, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning) for the oil and gas exploration-production industry.

Experience in similar position

  • 10 years of experience in middle/large scale upstream project in ICSS and instrument engineer role.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of international codes and standards related to Instruments, ICSS and telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of Company standards related to ICSS & Instrumentations.

Level / Diploma

  • Degree in Engineering, or lawyer.

Languages

  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong Communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Location: Letherhead, UK with missions to IRAQ
