Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with Construction Team and suppliers to make sure that work progress and quality is maintained.
  • Develop and implement the MEP QA/QC plan, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), and proactively monitor their execution to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of MEP installations, verifying workmanship, material compliance, and adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Lead and mentor the MEP QA/QC team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective quality control practices.
  • Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to address quality-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and punch lists, providing accurate records of quality performance.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on QA/QC activities, and proactively identifying and resolving potential quality risks.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in MEP systems.
  • Strong Project Execution Background including Project construction at site is a plus,
  • Holds a minimum of 10 years of experience in QA/QC within the oil and gas or similar contracting projects, showcasing industry-specific expertise.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of MEP systems, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning, indicating comprehensive technical knowledge.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and team management abilities, enabling successful team management and guidance.
  • Exhibits exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling effective identification and resolution of quality issues.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, ensuring the delivery of high-quality MEP installations on time and within budget.
