Lead Nurse - Orthopeadic King's College Hospital London

This role provides hands-on clinical leadership across the orthopaedic pathway from pre-admission and theatre preparation to post-operative recovery, rehabilitation, and safe discharge. The role oversees daily care standards, mentors and upskills the nursing team, and ensures evidence-based practice (fracture care, casting/splinting, wound and pain management, venous thromboembolism and infection prevention). Working closely with surgeons, anaesthesia and allied teams, resolves escalations, and drives quality, documentation, and patient education, while supporting rostering, resource planning, and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong communication, clinical expertise, and leadership to ensure efficient and high-quality care in a clinic environment.
