Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Main purpose of position
The Lead Project Planner will provide a complete project planning and scheduling support to the projects in line with all core processes, procedures, templates and tools as described within SCATEC.
Main responsibilities
- Operating System Compliance Follow established OS guidelines and structures, providing continuous input for improvement and optimization.
- Opportunity & Development Support Assist in compiling high-level timelines, developing milestones for PPA, supporting due diligence, and providing man-hour estimations for projects.
- Structuring Phase Timeline & Program Management Maintain and update high-level timelines, establish structuring programs, prepare master project schedules integrating WBS, and provide resource estimations.
- Contract & Procurement Support Prepare planning-related contract schedules, assist Supply Chain with RFQs, POs, and contract evaluations, and review contractors schedules, manpower, and machinery plans.
- Engineering & Project Coordination Support engineering team with document planning, MDL alignment, progress reports, and Gate Review preparations; identify critical milestones and integrate contractual obligations into master schedule.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting Track, monitor, and forecast progress of structuring activities; communicate deadlines and provide inputs for bi-weekly and 4-week look-ahead progress reports.
- Delivery/Execution Phase Oversight Review contractor baselines, set up S-curves, update project schedules, coordinate on-site planners, and ensure adherence to Scatec s policies and templates.
- Execution Reporting & Risk Support Monitor and analyze gaps between planned and actual progress, prepare internal and client reports, support Gate Reviews, and highlight risks requiring recovery actions.
Qualifications and competencies
- Education: Formal Technical Qualification (Engineering, Project Management)
- Experience: 8+ years of project planning and scheduling experience in an EPC organization
- Language: Arabic speaker, Fluent both written and spoken in English
