Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

4.1 Strategic Contribution:

  • Effectively contribute to the MA ADEN strategic plan
  • Enhancing the Local Contents of Contractors to comply with MA ADEN strategy.
  • Secure best effective contracting and sourcing strategy.
  • Ensures continuous improvement of sourcing to leveraging the commercial competition for each project.
  • Assist in the deployment of best practices, lessons learned implementation to maximize performance efficiency and value added to MA ADEN.

4.2 Project Contribution:

  • Assure full compliance to the projects contracts and delegation of authority schedule (DOA) by monitoring the contracts and dispute settlements within the granted authority.
  • Support the team to ensure that new stakeholders raising mega projects are aware about its process and policies.
  • Provide project-specific/customized contracting solutions, proper project's contracting strategies, project bidding and provide consultations to Manager and Project Team on executed contracts.
  • Participate in resolving contractual conflicts with contractors, and in reviewing, negotiating and finalizing Change Orders / Contract Amendments
  • Leading the negotiation process for high value contracts.
  • Managing Mega Projects claims, disputes and outstanding issues and involve MA ADEN Legal Counsel whenever required.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum University Degree in engineering or construction law or commercially oriented discipline such as finance, business administration, or related fields.

Minimum Experience:

  1. 10-15 Years experience in the mining / petrochemical or industrial environment

Skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Develop/maintain good working relationships with the managers of other functions.
  • Maintain respectful boundaries and professional relationships with contractors, vendors and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain the transparent communication channels with all stakeholders.
