Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage safety programs and initiatives that align with Maaden safety policies and objectives.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with applicable safety regulations, standards, and Maaden internal policies. Conduct regular assessments to verify compliance.
  • Analyze safety performance data and metrics. Prepare reports on safety trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead investigations of safety incidents, including root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to enhance staff knowledge and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, site leadership, and external stakeholders to promote safety initiatives and share best practices.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs. Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present safety reports to management, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas requiring attention.
  • Identify and promote best practices in safety management through internal and external networking and benchmarking.

Skills:

  • Deep knowledge in occupational safety compliance with applicable FM.
  • Proven experience in Safety Management Systems in FM
  • Strong understanding of Safety regulations, policies, and best practices at FM.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accident investigation and prevention.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and influence safety culture positively.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred in FM field.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor s degree in safety engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in safety management within the facility management (FM) sector.

Certifications: Professional certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
