Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Develops, analyzes, and reviews complex structural designs and calculations for buildings, foundations, and, where applicable, industrial structures.
Team Management: Guides and mentors junior engineers and BIM/CAD technicians, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project schedules.
Coordination: Interfaces with architects, MEP engineers, and clients to ensure a clash-free design and to resolve technical issues during construction.
Compliance: Ensures all designs meet local regulations, safety standards, and international codes (e.g., ACI, AISC, BS).
Documentation: Prepares and approves design reports, material specifications, and structural drawings.
Site Support: Provides technical support for site supervision, ensuring construction adheres to the designed intent.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license with registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural design and analysis of diverse projects.
- Demonstrates extensive experience in the design of concrete, steel, and other structural materials.
- Proficient in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and RAM Structural System.
- Exhibits strong understanding of building codes (e.g., IBC, ASCE) and design standards.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Exhibits strong project management skills, including budget control and schedule management.
- Has experience in the design of high-rise buildings, bridges, or other complex structures.
