Lead the technical department, including Technical Coordinators and Draughtsmen across multiple projects. Establish and control the workflow for shop drawing preparation, review, submission and approvals. Oversee review of IFC drawings, specifications and design documents to ensure constructability and coordination. Identify deviations, deficiencies and discrepancies in IFC drawings and report to Technical Manager. Drive development of coordinated shop drawings across civil, structural and MEP disciplines. Define and implement technical coordination strategies to avoid clashes and rework at site. Act as the primary technical interface with consultants to resolve design issues, discrepancies and approvals. Review and approve all shop drawings prior to submission to ensure quality and compliance. Ensure all drawings are aligned with local authority requirements such as but not limited to Dubai Municipality or Abu Dhabi Municipality and project-specific standards. Lead technical review meetings and coordination workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders. Identify design gaps, risks and constructability issues early and drive practical, site-oriented solutions. Ensure timely submission and approval of drawings in line with project schedules and milestones. Oversee preparation and validation of as-built drawings and ensure accuracy for handover. Coordinate closely with QA/QC, construction and planning teams to align technical deliverables with execution. Support claims, variations and technical justifications related to design changes or constraints. Establish and maintain drawing control systems, revision management and technical documentation standards. Mentor and develop technical team members, ensuring consistent quality and productivity.
