The Role
The Learning Assistant supports the classroom teacher in promoting the learning and personal development of students, providing a learning environment that supports their developmental and educational needs, under the overall direction of the class teacher.
Requirements
The successful applicant will:
Minimum High School / Secondary School education in English and Math at A level
High level of written and spoken Arabic and English a must
Graduates preferred
Experience or aptitude for working with students with special educational needs, previous teaching or learning assistant experience preferred
Knowledge of The National Curriculum for England and Wales preferred
Possess a strong focus on the pastoral care of children, as well as the ability to identify and report safeguarding concerns
Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to both individual and collaborative professional development.
Competencies:
High levels of written and spoken Arabic and English
Enthusiasm, commitment and aptitude for working with students
Good team player, able to work well as part of a team
