Learning Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead teachers to support differentiated learning activities tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students requiring additional academic support.
• Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.
• Help manage classroom behavior to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support the preparation and organization of teaching materials and classroom resources.
• Engage with parents and staff to communicate student development and foster a team approach to support.

• Relevant certification or degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
• Experience working in a learning support role within an educational environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Adaptability and proactive approach to supporting a dynamic classroom environment.
