Roles & Responsibilities

Job Overview:

The holder of this position is responsible for learning, teaching, and the formative and summative assessment of student work. He / She manages the student learning experience and proactively designs effective delivery methods. Additionally, he / she contributes to university research by conducting and publishing academic research and supervising research students. He / She also undertake administrative duties related to teaching and learning to ensure the smooth operation of the college or department.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Promote excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching, learning, assessment, and feedback strategies.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments of student work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Engage in student advisement and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide student induction, care and support.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to college committees.
  • Engage in professional development in relation to teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Contribute to course development and the development of new programs of study.
  • Conduct and publish academic research and supervise research students.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with teaching and learning to support the smooth operation of the college and department.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Qualifications and competencies

  • Master s degree from a reputable recognized university in a relevant discipline.
  • Master s and bachelor s degrees in the field
  • Minimum of two (2) years work experience in higher education or industry.
  • Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge in Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Experience in student academic advising, community outreach and development.
  • Evidence of publications in reputed scientific journals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning centered environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

Master s degree from a reputable recognized university in a relevant discipline.
