Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Proven hands-on experience building or maintaining ledger systems, financial transaction platforms, or high-integrity transactional databases, preferably in fintech or payments environments.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry accounting principles, financial workflows, reconciliation processes, and immutable transaction recording.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) or Java, with experience developing scalable backend services.
  • Experience with high-performance databases and familiarity with TigerBeetle or similar financial-grade transaction engines
  • Solid knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput, low-latency designs.
  • Experience with durable execution patterns such as sagas or workflow orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, data integrity, and financial system auditing requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for financial systems.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 4+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.
  • Exposure to blockchain, digital assets, or distributed ledger technologies is a plus.
