Roles & Responsibilities

This role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of law, business, and public affairs in Saudi Arabia, with direct exposure to high-impact strategic initiatives. Reporting to the MENA General Counsel, you will be a key player in a dynamic and growing market.

  • Act as a Legal Business Partner: You will provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice to commercial, marketing, supply chain, and digital teams, supporting them in risk assessment. You'll draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including distribution, retail, e-commerce, and influencer contracts.
  • Drive Regulatory & Compliance Excellenc: You will detect, monitor, and interpret Saudi laws, ensuring compliance with key authorities such as the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and the Ministry of Investment (MISA). Your expertise will be crucial in advising on importation frameworks and supporting internal compliance training.
  • Lead Public Affairs & Institutional Engagement: You will build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, act as a key interface with public authorities, and represent L'Or al in key business associations. You will also anticipate regulatory developments, contribute to advocacy strategies, and support crisis management.
  • Develop Strategic Partnership: You will identify and foster strategic collaborations with private sector partners and institutions to strengthen the company s local footprint and support cross-functional projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded legal professional with strong partnership capabilities. You are a great match if you have:

  • A law degree (LLB or equivalent), with a Master's degree being a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a law firm or in-house, with strong exposure to the Saudi regulatory environment. Experience in consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A pragmatic, solution-driven approach combined with a high sense of autonomy and ownership.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential; French is a plus.
