Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A construction firm based in Lebanon and KSA is currently seeking a Legal Counsel in Lebanon in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with 1 to 2 years of experience to provide comprehensive legal support within the construction sector.


Responsibilities :


- Contract Management and Advisory: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including subcontract agreements, NDAs, consultancy agreements, and service contracts.


- Documentation Support: Assist in preparing and reviewing project-related documentation and correspondence with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.


- Legal Issue Resolution: Support project teams in addressing contractual and legal issues during project execution.


- Legal Research: Conduct preliminary legal research and prepare memoranda on contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters.


- Corporate Governance: Maintain corporate records, including drafting board and shareholders resolutions and powers of attorney.


- Framework Implementation: Assist in implementing corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.


- Coordination with External Counsel: Coordinate with external counsel on corporate and regulatory matters under the supervision of the General Counsel.


- Legal Administration: Maintain and organize legal files, databases, and contract tracking systems.


- Internal Liaison: Liaise with internal departments (Procurement, HR, Finance, etc.) to ensure alignment on legal aspects of their operations.


Qualifications :


Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university (Masters degree is a plus).


1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a corporate or law firm environment, preferably in the construction sector.


Solid understanding of commercial and contract law principles.


Strong drafting and analytical skills with attention to detail.


Excellent command of English and Arabic (written and spoken); French is a plus.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
