Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role To manage legal risk and drive commercial effectiveness by overseeing contracts, compliance, negotiations, and stakeholder relationships while supporting business growth. Key Responsibilities

Legal Management

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, MOUs, SLAs, NDAs, and vendor agreements

Ensure compliance with UAE laws, labor regulations, and company policies

Manage disputes, claims, notices, and coordination with external legal counsel

Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies

Oversee corporate governance, licensing, and regulatory filings

Commercial Management

Lead contract negotiations with clients and key partners

Support pricing, commercial terms, and profitability analysis

Monitor contract performance, renewals, and variations

Work closely with Sales, HR, and Operations on commercial feasibility

Manage client relationships from a contractual and compliance perspective

Risk & Governance

Identify legal and commercial risks and implement control frameworks

Ensure ethical business practices and adherence to internal controls

Support audits and compliance reviews Key Competencies

Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills

Commercial acumen with a risk-balanced approach

Knowledge of UAE legal and regulatory environment

Stakeholder management and leadership capability

Analytical, detail-oriented, and decision-driven

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Arabic speaking is a must

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal principles.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a corporate or commercial environment with a focus on business law.

  • Active bar membership in the jurisdiction of practice, showcasing a commitment to legal professionalism and ethics.

  • Industry-specific experience in sectors such as technology, finance, or healthcare, providing valuable insights into unique legal challenges.
