Roles & Responsibilities
Role & responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal advisor to management and business units across KSA operations, HR, finance, supply chain, and marketing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including vendor/supplier agreements, franchise and distribution agreements, lease agreements, service agreements.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Saudi Arabia and advise management on potential impacts to retail operations.
- Manage dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration matters; coordinate with and oversee external counsel where necessary.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks to minimize legal risks.
- Advise senior management on legal risks, liabilities, and strategic business decisions.
- Handle corporate governance matters, including preparation of board resolutions, powers of attorney, and company secretarial duties.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, external advisors, and key business stakeholders.
- Represent the company in front of government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external forums as required.
- Provide comprehensive legal support to retail business operations in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Managing and reviewing the work of egal counsels for Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam region.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors or masters degree in law (LLB or LLM)
- 8 - 12 years of relevant experience required
