Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and technical support to the life underwriting team, ensuring smooth workflow and timely processing of applications.
- Review and verify life insurance applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in the assessment of risk by gathering and analyzing relevant medical, financial, and personal information.
- Coordinate with brokers, agents, and clients to obtain additional information or clarification as required.
- Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, correspondence, and policy documentation in compliance with company standards.
- Prepare and generate underwriting reports, summaries, and statistical analyses for management review.
- Support the implementation of underwriting guidelines, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor and track pending cases, following up to ensure timely resolution and communication.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members on underwriting processes and systems.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and policy administration, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Have experience in life insurance underwriting support or a related field.
- Strong understanding of life insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk assessment processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using underwriting software, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document review and data entry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
