Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Enforce all facility rules and regulations consistently, addressing any violations promptly and professionally, maintaining a safe and orderly environment for all patrons.
- Respond swiftly to all emergencies, including water rescues and security breaches, taking decisive action to protect lives and property.
- Monitor water quality and maintain cleanliness of the facility, contributing to a hygienic and enjoyable environment for all.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment, ensuring proper storage and maintenance, contributing to the smooth operation of the facility.
- Communicate effectively with patrons and staff, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns with courtesy and professionalism, enhancing the overall experience.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and effective safety strategy, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.
- Participate in regular training sessions to update skills and knowledge, remaining proficient in all aspects of lifeguarding and security protocols, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, documenting all occurrences accurately and thoroughly, aiding in future investigations and safety improvements.
- Continuously scan the designated area, actively looking for any signs of distress or potential safety hazards, ensuring proactive prevention of incidents.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Holds a valid Lifeguard Certification (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA), proving competency in water safety and rescue techniques.
- Holds a valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, equipping the candidate with life-saving skills for emergency situations.
- Previous experience in a security or lifeguarding role is highly desirable, showcasing familiarity with related responsibilities.
- Fluent in English and proficient in one or more additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French), enhancing communication capabilities with a diverse clientele.
- Demonstrates strong observation and surveillance skills, including the ability to identify potential threats and respond effectively.
- Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patrons and colleagues.
- Possesses strong physical abilities, including the capacity to swim proficiently and perform strenuous tasks, ensuring the ability to meet the demands of the role.
