*Experience* :

Should have 3rd Part Rigging valid Certificate with 7-8 years of experience.

Candidates having experience in QCON, DESCO, DEPOT are preferred.

Knowledge

Rigging and Lifting Supervisor

The lifting engineer responsibilities carried out by Michael include:

Preparing detailed lifting plans and method statements

Determining load weights, center of gravity, and lifting points

Selecting appropriate cranes and lifting configurations

Designing rigging arrangements (slings, spreader beams, lifting frames)

Additionally:

Preparing and reviewing lift plans, risk assessments, and equipment

certifications

Maintaining records for audits and compliance

Evaluating ground conditions and crane setup areas

Ensuring proper outrigger loads and ground bearing pressure calculations

Verifying site access, obstructions, and environmental factors

Technical competencies include:

Strong knowledge of structural and mechanical principles

Proficiency in lifting calculations and crane load charts

Familiarity with lifting software such as AutoCAD and lifting simulators

The rigging supervisor responsibilities include:

Planning and Preparation

Reviewing lifting plans, load weights, and rigging requirements

Selecting appropriate rigging equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, etc.)

Conducting risk assessments and preparing method statements

Coordinating with crane operators, engineers, and site supervisors

Supervision and Execution

Leading and supervising riggers and signalmen

Assigning tasks based on skill level and certification

Monitoring performance and ensuring correct rigging practices

Providing on-the-job training and guidance

Inspection and Safety

Inspecting rigging gear prior to use (slings, chains, wire ropes)

Ensuring all equipment is certified and within validity

Removing defective equipment from service
