Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and review lifting plans and method statements (RAMS).
Coordinate with contractors, crane operators, riggers, and site supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations.
Participate in pre-lift meetings and risk assessments.
Ensure all lifting activities comply with relevant safety standards and project specifications.
Verify that lifting equipment is certified, inspected, and fit for use.
Monitor lifting operations and intervene when unsafe practices are observed.
Approve lifting plans and associated documentation before work commencement.
Maintain records of lifting operations, inspections, and incidents.
Provide guidance and training to site teams on lifting safety.
Act as the primary HSE point of contact for lifting-related activities.
Support investigations of lifting-related incidents and near misses.
Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key skills:
- Strong understanding of lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and lifting plans.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant planning software.
Desired Candidate Profile
To ensure the safe planning, execution, and oversight of all lifting operations on site, in compliance with project-specific HSE requirements, local regulations, and international standards (e.g., LOLER, BS 7121)
