Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on-site in accordance with approved lifting plans

  • Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in compliance with HSE standards and project requirements

  • Verify that all cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories are certified, inspected, and suitable for use

  • Coordinate with Appointed Person, crane operators, riggers, and site teams for smooth execution of lifting activities

  • Conduct pre-lift meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings before commencement of lifting operations

  • Monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (PTW, JSA, Method Statements)

  • Identify hazards and implement risk control measures to prevent incidents

  • Ensure proper rigging practices and load handling techniques are followed

  • Stop any unsafe act or condition and report incidents, near misses, or deviations

  • Maintain records of lifting activities, inspections, and daily reports

  • Assist in incident investigations related to lifting operations

  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to site-specific safety rules (CICPA where applicable)

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in lifting operations within Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore)

  • Certified Lifting Supervisor (4-day course) from an ADNOC-approved training provider

  • Successfully passed client/panel assessment (preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, and safety procedures

  • Familiar with ADNOC standards and international lifting guidelines

  • Ability to supervise teams and ensure safe execution of lifting activities

  • Strong commitment to HSE and safe working practices

  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

  • Valid CICPA pass for Habshan (preferred)

  • Immediate joiners preferred
