Driving and Route Management: Operate light trucks, vans, or similar vehicles to deliver goods along assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws, schedules, and GPS navigation.
Loading and Unloading: Safely load, secure, and unload packages or cargo at warehouses, distribution centers, or customer locations, using equipment like dollies or hand trucks.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent service by confirming deliveries, obtaining signatures, and handling basic inquiries or issues (e.g., damaged items).
Vehicle Maintenance and Safety: Perform pre-trip inspections, report mechanical issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., DOT standards in the US).
Documentation and Reporting: Track deliveries via handheld devices or apps, complete logs, and report any discrepancies or delays to supervisors.
Inventory Management: Occasionally assist with inventory checks or sorting at facilities.

Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills: Valid driver's license (commercial driver's license or CDL may be required for some roles), knowledge of vehicle operation, and familiarity with delivery software/apps (e.g., route optimization tools).
Soft Skills: Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently or in teams. Physical fitness for lifting (up to 50-100 lbs) and endurance for long hours.
Other Traits: Reliability, punctuality, and adaptability to weather or traffic conditions. Basic math skills for inventory and problem-solving for route adjustments.
