Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and architectural plans to determine lighting requirements, ensuring accurate light level calculations.
- Utilize lighting design software (e.g., AGi32, Revit) to perform detailed photometric calculations, generating realistic light level simulations.
- Prepare comprehensive lighting fixture schedules, including specifications, quantities, and cost estimations for each project.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop lighting solutions that meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary goals.
- Create detailed lighting layouts and technical submittals, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and codes.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather necessary data, and verify the accuracy of lighting designs post-installation.
- Provide technical support to sales teams and clients, answering questions and offering expert advice on lighting products and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest lighting technologies, trends, and regulations, continuously improving design skills and knowledge.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring all files are organized, accessible, and up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and select lighting fixtures based on performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, contributing to sustainable design practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
Demonstrates 3-5 years of experience in lighting design, estimation, or a related role; practical experience is highly valued.
Displays a solid understanding of lighting principles, including photometry, color rendering, and illuminance calculations; crucial for design accuracy.
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of evaluating complex lighting scenarios and finding creative solutions.
Exhibits meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in calculations, documentation, and project execution.
Demonstrates a proactive and results-oriented approach, committed to meeting project deadlines and exceeding client expectations.
Has a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure timely completion.
