Systems Linux Engineer Dicetek LLC

We are seeking a highly experienced Linux Administrator (10+ years) to manage, maintain, and optimize a large-scale Linux/UNIX infrastructure. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Linux operating systems, with a primary focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on system performance, security, hardening ,patching,, automation, and high availability to ensure the reliability and efficiency of critical systems. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure will be a strong advantage. Knowledge of IBM AIX will be considered an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL,Ubuntu etc) in physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Conduct vulnerability assessments, Patching ,Hardening and remediation in coordination with cybersecurity teams Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Perform advanced kernel tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting , Ansible or any other automation tool Collaborate with application, database, and network teams to support business-critical systems. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews for critical system outages. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotation schedule.
