Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and reconcile accounts related to logistics, shipping, and freight operations.
  • Prepare, review, and process invoices for import, export, and cargo management services.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics costs, identifying variances and recommending cost-saving measures.
  • Coordinate with operations, warehousing, and shipping teams to ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to logistics activities.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for logistics-related accounts.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and customs authorities to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
  • Implement and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy in logistics operations.
  • Stay informed about changes in customs, tax, and financial regulations affecting logistics and cargo management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and logistics documentation is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
