Logistics Coordinator Rotary Engineering PTE. LTD. - AbuDhabi

Key Responsibilities:

1. Material Planning and Coordination

• Coordinate with the procurement and engineering teams to understand material requirements for piping and structural works.
• Follow up on material delivery schedules based on project progress and construction priorities.
• Ensure correct quantities and specifications of materials (pipes, fittings, valves, supports, gaskets, etc.) are ordered and delivered on time.

2. Logistics and Transportation

• Organize and monitor the transportation of materials from fabricators, suppliers, or warehouses to the construction site.
• Arrange loading and unloading operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

3. Inventory and Storage Management

• Supervise the receipt, inspection, and storage of piping and structural materials or fabricated components at site laydown areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking of batch numbers, heat numbers, and delivery documentation using the prescribed format or software.
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent material damage such as corrosion or deformation.

4. Coordination with Construction Teams

• Liaise daily with construction supervisors, site engineers, and foremen to ensure timely material availability as per material requests.
• Monitor material consumption and forecast future requirements to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Support field installation schedules by ensuring on-time material delivery to work sites.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain delivery notes, material receipt reports, and transfer records.
• Track and report material movement between warehouses and work zones.
• Submit daily or weekly logistics and material status reports to project management.
• Maintain records of non-conformances or shortages and coordinate with suppliers for timely resolution.

6. Vendor and Supplier Coordination

• Follow up with procurement administrators and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Resolve any logistical or material quality issues in coordination with suppliers and QA/QC teams.

7. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Ensure all transportation and material handling activities comply with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings for logistics and warehouse teams.
• Follow proper lifting, rigging, and material handling procedures at all times.

8. Cost Control and Optimization

• Monitor and control logistics costs, ensuring cost-effective delivery and storage practices.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and prevent delays.

9. Coordination with Other Departments

• Work closely with QA/QC, procurement, construction, and planning departments to ensure smooth material flow.
• Ensure complete traceability of materials for inspection and documentation purposes.
• Support commissioning and project turnover by providing accurate and up-to-date material records.
