Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Carrier Cost and Rate Management
- Maintain and update carrier rate cards, fuel surcharges (FSC), remote area zones, and other shipping-related cost elements in CCM.
- Input and manage rate structures for multiple carriers per country (e.g., UPS, DHL, FedEx, GLS, DPD), as opposed to current single-carrier models.
- Support mass uploads and individual entry of data across all global markets.
- Ensure all rate changes are captured accurately and on time to avoid incorrect cost allocation or delays.
- Regularly update and maintain transit time data for all carriers in the COMET system.
2. Transit Time Management
- Move from a quarterly update cadence to more frequent or event-driven updates, based on disruptions such as weather events, strikes, or major public events (e.g., FIFA Club World Cup, regional holidays).
- Ensure that transit time data is always current, as it forms the baseline for delivery time calculations and shipping method decisions.
3. Data Preparation and System Upload
- Prepare data files in the required formats for CCM and COMET, including zone maps, rate tables, and transit time matrices.
- Manage updates to current structures, which include 9 folders for the US and 11 for ROW, with an expected increase as more carriers are added.
- Perform data uploads manually, ensuring accuracy and completeness in every file.
4. Data Verification and Quality Control
- Verify data accuracy before and after uploads, flagging any discrepancies or errors.
- Conduct cross-checks to ensure rates, transit times, and zone assignments align with the latest carrier contracts.
5. Reporting and Documentation
- Generate and maintain documentation related to logistics data changes.
- Support logistics reporting needs related to carrier performance, transit time evolution, and shipping cost trends.
6. Communication and Coordination
- Collaborate closely with logistics team members and internal stakeholders to align data updates with operational needs.
- Liaise with carrier representatives as needed to gather updated rate and transit information.
7. Administrative Support
- Provide general support in organizing digital records, managing correspondence, and maintaining structured folders and audit trails.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Support ongoing process improvements in logistics data management, including system enhancement suggestions and automation opportunities.
