Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and implement logistics strategies to support supply chain objectives.
Plan and manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and warehouses to ensure smooth cargo flow.
Negotiate and manage contracts with freight forwarders, transport companies, and courier services.
Monitor fleet and transport performance, optimizing routes and schedules to reduce costs and delays.
Oversee customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Ensure accurate inventory control through regular stock checks and audits.
Analyze logistics expenses and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
Implement automation and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Develop KPIs and dashboards to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Lead and train the logistics team, fostering collaboration with procurement, sales, and production.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Master s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience: 10+ years in logistics/supply chain, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage logistics networks across GCC, Africa, and international markets; experience leading and developing teams.
Technical Expertise: Handling bulk shipments, knowledge of commerce and logistics regulations, freight and cost structures, proficiency in ERP/logistics management software.
Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills; analytical mindset; strong decision-making and team motivation capabilities.
