Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and execute foreign purchasing strategies to secure high-quality materials, parts, and CKD components at competitive prices.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with international suppliers and OEM partners to ensure best value and long-term partnerships.

Manage supplier performance in terms of delivery reliability, lead times, quality, and compliance with contracts.

Review and issue purchase orders, ensuring accurate product specifications, pricing, and delivery terms.

Collaborate with planning and production teams to align purchase requirements with production schedules.

Monitor foreign currency exposure, payment terms, and LC (Letter of Credit) processes with the finance department.

Plan and oversee international logistics operations including freight forwarding, shipping schedules, and documentation flow.

Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth import operations.

Ensure proper documentation (invoice, packing list, BL, COA, COO, etc.) is prepared and validated for customs clearance.

Track and monitor shipments from supplier to port of arrival, ensuring timely updates and problem resolution.

Optimize freight cost and shipment consolidation while maintaining delivery efficiency.

Supervise all customs clearance activities to ensure compliance with Egyptian customs regulations and trade laws.

Liaise with governmental bodies and customs authorities for efficient clearance of imported goods.

Maintain accurate records of import transactions, tariffs, and customs duties.

Lead and develop the foreign purchasing and logistics team, setting clear KPIs and ensuring high performance.

Coordinate closely with planning, finance, warehouse, and quality departments for smooth material flow.

Ensure continuous process improvement in purchasing and logistics operations through system automation and supplier

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering (MBA is a plus).

15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing or industrial sector.

Proven experience in foreign procurement, international logistics, and customs clearance.

Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, LCs, freight negotiation, and international trade regulations.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with global suppliers and logistics providers.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).
