Shipping Lines / Freight Forwarding

• Receive shipment requests from Sales / Export / WH.

• Coordinate with shipping lines for:

o Vessel schedules

o Cut-off dates

o Booking availability

o Freight rates (if required)

• Create and submit booking requests.

• Follow up on booking confirmations.

• Prepare shipping instructions (SI) and send to shipping line / forwarder.

• Coordinate container release / empty container pickup.

• Track vessel departure and ETA.

• Follow up on Bill of Lading draft (BL draft).

• Review BL draft and confirm:

o Consignee details

o HS code (if shown)

o Quantity / weight / packaging

o Container number & seal number

• Arrange BL release (Original / Telex / Sea Waybill).

Documentation & Customer Support

• Prepare export document pack:

o Commercial invoice

o Packing list

o Certificate of Origin (if required)

o Health certificate / product certificate (if required)

o Insurance (if applicable)

• Send shipping documents to customer on time.

• Respond to customer inquiries about shipment status.

Customs Knowledge

• Prepare/export customs documents (as per UAE customs requirements).

• Coordinate with customs broker/clearing agent.

• Ensure HS code and product description match the invoice.

• Ensure customs declaration is submitted on time.

• Follow up on export release / exit confirmation.

Using Official Portals & Websites (Daily Use)

• Use shipping line portals

• Use port/terminal portals

• Use UAE customs / authority portals (as applicable)

• Use Chamber of Commerce portal (if applicable)
