Job Description

The Senior Logistics Officer oversees and coordinates all logistics activities to support construction operations, ensuring timely delivery, proper storage, and efficient distribution of materials and equipment. The role involves close coordination with procurement, suppliers, site teams, and authorities to keep project schedules on track while maintaining compliance with company and UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate logistics activities to meet project schedules and site requirements.
  • Manage material deliveries, storage, and distribution in coordination with procurement and site teams.
  • Oversee transportation, customs clearance, and documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Supervise receipt, inspection, and storage of materials to ensure compliance and prevent damage.
  • Coordinate site logistics layouts, storage zones, and handling routes.
  • Monitor logistics operations, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure compliance with HSE and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery, inventory, and movement records.
  • Lead logistics teams, drivers, and equipment operators for efficient resource utilization.
  • Provide regular logistics updates and reports to project management.
  • Support demobilization activities, including returns, asset transfers, and site clearance.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 7 10 years of logistics experience in large construction projects, preferably in UAE/GCC.
  • Strong knowledge of site logistics, material handling, and transportation.
  • Familiarity with UAE customs, import/export procedures, and authority requirements.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems.
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred.
