Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging math lessons for grades 9-12, tailoring instruction to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress through various methods, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
  • Create and grade assignments, tests, and quizzes, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including grades, attendance, and behavioral observations, using digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the math curriculum, contributing to a cohesive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, addressing concerns and fostering partnerships.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events to support the school community.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with diverse abilities and learning challenges.
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding of mathematical concepts.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in mathematical principles.
  • Holds a valid teaching license or certification, showcasing commitment to professional standards and pedagogical best practices.
  • Has experience in teaching mathematics to grades 9-12, with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, indicating classroom proficiency.
  • Displays a proven ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and concisely, conveying subject matter expertise.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills, creating a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
  • Exhibits proficiency in using educational technology, such as interactive whiteboards, online learning platforms, and graphing calculators.
